Taoism is one of the representative religions of Taiwan, which is also well instilled in the Taiwanese way of life. In Taoism, “Buei” is a special tool, designed for communicating with deities. To use this tool, you simply ask a question through prayers, and then drop the “Buei” on the floor. The sides, on which the “Buei” falls will be the answer from the deity to your question or request. This design concept is derived from the cultural belief and applying a functional side to the belief. It is thereby an eraser which functions as a miniature “Buei”. Given its small form it can be easily carried about, and stored away just as easily.

“Don't twist you body while studying!” I remember my mom always say that to me. Alright, let me twist the notebook instead of my body then. Now, what about twist the lines instead of the entire notebook? Everyone gets his/her own degree of twisting angle for most comfortable writing position. Mine is 12, what's yours? Because of a notice that people twist the notebook when writing, so I design the lines slanted in notebook, to fit into our need naturally. 12 degrees of twisting angle for the most comfortable writing position.

While opening the book which you have not read for a while, a flattened cockroach suddenly pops out right in front of you. Its long whiskers serve just like the red strings in the dictionary, and simply by tracing along the whiskers, you can locate the pages that you have not finished reading last time around. The design is not interesting enough if this is all. There's a concept behind this design bookmark - reverse. At the first sight can we only think of a dreadful cockroach. Even so, when it comes with a name of smiley cockroach and look at it again, it seems like turning over with its belly smiling at you. It only takes a thought to reverse the cockroach as well as your mood of reading. This is why I love this design.

Whenever we go to travel, we also want to share the fun of travel with someone who can’t come with us, and usually bring some special stuff as a gift. In addition to historic monument and citizen lifestyle, there have many kinds of delicious food in the cultural capital. In the past, the sugar symbolizes nobles. “The food is so sweet” made a general impression in Tainan cuisine. Even as times change, the culture would be passing down. Using ants crawl toward the food means the food is so sweet and feeling so sweet when received this gift.

When we go out for dine, we sit on the small stool with a low table. Often make people to associate the Tainan Dan-tsu Noodles, think about the chapman who was carry on a shoulder load and call somebody to eat the noodles of the screen. This is our culture memory. By this stool, use the body to feel of Tainan. There are simple, comfortable and unreserved in Tainan. This is a lovely place.
